In Liberec it can be found on pretty much every corner, so take a good look at what you’re walking on. Whether they’re stairs in a building or paving stones, that’s bound to be what they’re made of. It’s used to make plinths, statues and even the reservoir dam. Although you can find other types of granite in the surrounding area (such as Tanvald or Fojtka), ours is by far the most beautiful. Its large patches of pink feldspar give it a softish pink colour, so despite its hardness, it looks like it's blushing shyly.
